CUSTOM TILE SHOWERS & WATERPROOFING

Tile showers built around water management first.

The finished tile gets the attention, but slope, waterproofing, penetrations, drain details and preparation are what make a shower system dependable.

SHOWER SYSTEM DETAILS

Every opening and transition has to be planned.

Waterproofing

Continuous waterproofing, properly treated seams, corners and penetrations behind the finish surface.

Slope & Drainage

The shower base and horizontal surfaces must be planned to move water where it belongs.

Niches & Benches

Useful dimensions, tile layout and waterproofing details matter more than adding a decorative feature at the last minute.

Curbs & Low Thresholds

Entry details are evaluated against framing, available depth, shower size and the complete drainage plan.

Tile Layout

Centerlines, cuts, grout joints, corners, trim profiles and fixture locations are considered before setting begins.

Grout & Sealant

Grout selection and flexible sealant at changes of plane are part of the maintenance and movement strategy for the finished shower.

DECADES OF TILE EXPERIENCE

A beautiful shower depends on preparation you may never see.

Tile work reveals framing and substrate problems quickly. Walls that are not flat, corners that are not square and poorly placed valves or drains can force bad compromises later if they are not addressed before the layout starts.

We focus on preparation, layout and detail work so the visible cuts and joints reflect a deliberate plan rather than a series of corrections.

SHOWER FAQ

Questions worth asking before tile is installed.

Is tile and grout waterproof?

No. Tile and grout are finish surfaces. The shower needs a complete water-management and waterproofing system behind or directly beneath those finishes.

Can I use large-format tile in a shower?

Often yes, but the substrate flatness, drain design, slope, cuts and layout need to suit the tile size and the specific shower geometry.

Are shower niches likely to leak?

Any penetration or recessed feature needs careful waterproofing. A niche is not inherently a problem when it is properly planned and integrated into the system.

What makes a curbless shower possible?

Available framing depth, drain location, floor elevation, shower size and waterproofing design all affect feasibility. It should be evaluated before promising a zero-entry result.

Can you replace a failed shower without remodeling the whole bathroom?

Often yes, if the surrounding conditions allow a clean, durable integration with the existing room.

Need a shower replacement or a full bathroom remodel?

We can evaluate the existing conditions and explain which details are driving the scope.
